Nature of Work and Responsibilities:

The recruited patients in the project will need to be followed up, coordinated for their treatment, data collection, data entry, coordination with other centers involved in the project, and checking of data entries.

Remuneration:

₹25,000 per month (no other allowances payable)

Duration: 1 year (likely)

Eligibility Criteria (Qualifications and Experience):
  • Essential:
    • Degree in Life Sciences
    • 2 years of experience in the medical field (working with patients) or in medical research
    • Fluency in Tamil (speaking, reading, and writing) as the project involves interaction with patients and obtaining consent
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in clinical trials
    • Working experience in the cancer field or with cancer patients
    • GCP (Good Clinical Practice) training

Maximum Age Limit: 30 years (as of the last date of receipt of applications)

Terms and Conditions:

  1. This position is purely on a contract basis for an externally funded project, and the candidate will have no claim to any regular post at JIPMER.
  2. The appointment duration is based on project needs and external funding support. It may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Project Investigator.
  3. Qualifications and experience must be in a relevant field from a reputed institution/organization, and experience should be gained after acquiring the essential qualifications.
  4. Terms and conditions, including qualifications and experience, may be relaxed/altered at the discretion of the Principal Investigator.
  5. Valid email ID and mobile number are mandatory.
  6. The consolidated salary may vary according to the norms set by the funding agency, with no additional allowances provided.
  7. Submission of false information at any stage during the selection process may lead to disqualification or termination if detected after engagement.
  8. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and/or interview. The decision of the Project Investigator will be final.
  9. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
  10. Incomplete applications or those not submitted in the prescribed format will likely be summarily rejected.

Interviews for the post may be conducted in person or via videoconferencing, depending on the Principal Investigator’s discretion. In case of videoconferencing, it is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure access to a suitable device with audio and camera facilities and a stable internet connection.
