This initiative is aimed at leveraging the rich experience and expertise of former government employees to enhance the laboratory’s capabilities in various domains.

DRDO NSTL Vacancy Details:

• Name of the Organization: Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL), DRDO
• Position: Consultant
• Eligibility: Retired government officials who have worked in any government organization.
• Relevant Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with experience relevant to the position they are applying for.

DRDO NSTL Eligibility Criteria:

1. Retired Government Officials: Only those who have retired from Central Government, State Government, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies are eligible to apply.
2. Experience: Candidates should have relevant experience in their respective fields. They must have worked at a level equivalent to or above the rank of Group ‘A’ officer.
3. Age Limit: The maximum age limit for the engagement as a consultant is typically 65 years.

DRDO NSTL Selection Process:

• Shortlisting: Applications will be scrutinized, and eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on their experience and qualifications.
• Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview to assess their suitability for the role.
• Final Selection: The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview and the relevance of their experience to the requirements of NSTL.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The consultants engaged by NSTL will be expected to:

• Provide expert advice on ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Assist in the formulation of strategies for the development and deployment of new technologies.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, project proposals, and other documentation.
• Participate in discussions, meetings, and reviews related to the projects.
• Offer insights and recommendations based on their experience in government service.

Terms of Engagement:

• Duration: The engagement will be on a contract basis for an initial period, which may be extended based on the performance and requirements of NSTL.
• Remuneration: The consultants will be paid a fixed monthly remuneration as per the guidelines of DRDO. The amount will be determined based on the last pay drawn minus the pension.
• Other Benefits: The consultants will not be entitled to any other benefits such as HRA, medical facilities, or travel allowances.
