UPSC Vigilance Assistant Recruitment 2024: Deputation Basis Vacancy

Eligibility Criteria:
Deputation (For Central Government Employees):
Candidates must fulfill any of the following conditions to be eligible for the post of Vigilance Assistant:
- Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in their parent cadre or department.
- Six years’ regular service in the grade of Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200) with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800 (Level-5 as per the 7th CPC).
- Ten years’ regular service in the grade of Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200) with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400 (Level-4 as per the 7th CPC).
In addition, candidates must meet one of the following educational qualifications:
- A Degree in Law from a recognized university, OR
- Two years of experience in dealing with vigilance or disciplinary matters related to government employees. The candidate must have completed Administrative Vigilance Training from the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management or a similar recognized institution.
Maximum Age Limit:
The maximum age for appointment via deputation should not exceed 56 years as of the closing date for receipt of applications.
Deputation Period:
The deputation tenure for this position is 3 years. Candidates must note that the total deputation period, including any previous deputation service, should not exceed three years.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Vigilance Assistant, the selected candidate will handle the following key responsibilities:
- Examining and processing complaints against UPSC employees.
- Handling disciplinary cases, including suspension cases, as per CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965.
- Managing vigilance clearance, RTI cases, criminal cases, and grievances received on the PG Portal.
- Maintaining registers related to disciplinary proceedings and complaints.
- Managing property intimations under CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964, and maintaining IPR records.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director (Vigilance).
The candidate should have a sound knowledge of computer operations and typing.
