POWERGRID Apprentices Recruitment 2026: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India has released an official notification for the engagement of ITI Apprentice, Diploma Apprentice and Graduate Apprentice under the Apprentices Act, 1961. There are 270 apprenticeship vacancies available across various Electrical and Civil disciplines. Candidates with ITI, Diploma and Degree qualifications are eligible to apply. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 25 August 2026 to 10 September 2026. Position: ITI Apprentice, Diploma Apprentice, Graduate Apprentice
Job Location: Various locations across India
Stipend:
- ITI Apprentice – ₹13,500/- per month
- Diploma Apprentice – ₹15,000/- per month
- Graduate Apprentice – ₹17,500/- per month
- An additional ₹2,500/- per month may be paid where company accommodation is not provided or availed.
Qualification:
ITI Apprentice:
- Full-time ITI in Electrician trade from a recognized institution.
Diploma Apprentice:
- Full-time Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering from a recognized institute/university.
Graduate Apprentice:
- Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engineering) in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering from a recognized institute/ university.
Note: Candidates must have completed the required qualification within the prescribed eligibility period. Candidates awaiting final results, candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training, and candidates having more than one year of post-qualification work experience are not eligible.

Note: There will be no Written Examination or Interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and called for document verification as per the prescribed selection process.
