Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification:
- B.E/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with first division and a valid GATE score.
- M.E/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with first division at both graduate and postgraduate levels.
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as of the last date of application (Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates).
Stipend
- Monthly Stipend: ₹37,000 per month plus HRA and medical facilities as per rules.
Fellowship Duration
- The initial duration of the fellowship is 2 years, which may be extended and upgraded to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) as per DRDO rules.
Application Process
- Interested candidates must download the application form from the official DRDO website www.drdo.gov.in.
- The filled application form, along with a recent passport-size photograph and self-attested copies of educational certificates, must be sent via email to admin.pxe@gov.in.
- Last Date: The application must be submitted before 08 October 2024.
- Interview Date: The online interview is tentatively scheduled for 22 October 2024 (0900 hrs onwards).
Selection Process
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and GATE score.
- The final selection will be through an online interview via video conferencing.
General Instructions
- Age Relaxation: Age relaxation is applicable as per Government norms—5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Caste Certificate: SC/ST/OBC candidates must produce original caste certificates issued by a competent authority.
- No TA/DA: No travel or dearness allowance will be provided at the time of joining.
- Employment NOC: Candidates employed in government departments or PSUs must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of joining.
- Verification: The original documents will be verified during joining.
- Offer of Fellowship: The fellowship does not guarantee absorption into DRDO.
- Discretion of Selection Committee: Admission to the fellowship program is at the discretion of the selection committee.
