Eligibility Criteria for ESIC Teaching Faculty and Research Scientist Recruitment 2024
1. Age Limit:
- Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor: The maximum age limit for candidates applying for teaching positions is 67 years as of the date of the interview.
- Senior Research Scientist: The maximum age limit is 45 years.
- Research Scientist: The maximum age limit is 40 years.
2. Educational Qualifications:
- Teaching Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor):
- Candidates should possess qualifications as per the National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.
- For Associate Professor in Pulmonary Medicine, the candidate should meet the minimum experience requirements as a DM supervisor as per NMC and GGSIPU guidelines.
- Senior Research Scientist:
- A Ph.D. or MD in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Computational Biophysics, Chemical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Science, Engineering, Proteomics, or a related field from a recognized university is required.
- Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant research experience in projects from institutions or organizations of national eminence.
- Research Scientist:
- A Ph.D. or MD in the same fields as Senior Research Scientist, with 1 year of relevant research experience in similar projects from institutions of national eminence.
Pay Scale for ESIC Recruitment 2024
1. Teaching Faculty:
- Professor: ₹2,45,295 per month.
- Associate Professor: ₹1,63,116 per month.
- Assistant Professor: ₹1,40,139 per month.
In addition to the basic salary, teaching faculty members will receive transport allowances with Dearness Allowance (DA) as per the current government policies. Salary adjustments will be made in line with any future revisions of government pay scales, although arrears will not be provided for past revisions.
2. Research Scientist:
- Senior Research Scientist: ₹1.25 lakh per month.
- Research Scientist: ₹1.00 lakh per month.
No other allowances will be provided, and private practice is strictly prohibited during the contractual tenure.

Candidates are required to attend the walk-in-interview at the Dean Office, 5th Floor, ESI-PGIMSR, Basaidarapur, New Delhi between 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM on 28th October 2024.
