What You Will Do as an OIE Liaison
As a full-time detailee, you will play a crucial role in advancing organizational effectiveness. Your contributions will revolve around key functional areas, enabling you to grow both personally and professionally:

  • Enhancing Employee Engagement: Participate in integrated employee engagement initiatives, including conducting organizational assessments and analyzing the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) results. Your efforts will help drive organizational excellence by fostering a culture of employee commitment and collaboration.
  • Driving Innovation and Ideation: Be part of the exciting journey of idea generation and implementation. You’ll assist in the evaluation and development of innovative ideas, utilizing the DOT IDEAS platform—a dynamic space where employees can share, incubate, and refine their concepts.
  • Leveraging Technology for Efficiency: Utilize tools like Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint to promote efficiency and enhance communication across teams. Your tech-savvy approach will facilitate smoother workflows and innovative solutions.
  • Effective Communication: Help shape the conversation around innovation and engagement through various communication channels. Your ability to convey important messages will reinforce DOT’s organizational objectives and improve the overall employee experience.

Key Responsibilities of the OIE Liaison
In this role, you may engage in the following activities:

  • Develop and support the implementation of innovation and engagement tools tailored to the needs of the DOT.
  • Collaborate on the incubation and evaluation of employee engagement initiatives that inspire creativity and innovation.
  • Create comprehensive business cases for proposed ideas, detailing implementation requirements and outcomes.
  • Assist in crafting communication plans, reports, and presentations to showcase project progress and impact.
  • Facilitate events that foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among employees at all levels of DOT.
  • Serve as a liaison between the OIE and employees, advocating for innovation and engagement initiatives.
