DRDO CHESS Recruitment 2024 Positions Available:

1. Research Associate (RA) – Physics/Applied Optics/Laser Technology:

• Number of Positions: 1
• Educational Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Engineering or Science in Customized Optical System Design/ Atmospheric turbulence correction/adaptive optics. OR 3 years of research, teaching, or design and development experience after ME/M.Tech (ECE/EEE/Applied Physics/Control System).
• Desirable Skills: Experience in Optics/related areas, knowledge of programming languages MATLAB, LabVIEW, Zemax, Python, etc.

2. Research Associate (RA) – Electronics/Instrumentation/Computer Science:

3. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Mechanical Engineering:

• Educational Qualifications: Graduate Degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering with NET/GATE in first division or Post Graduate Degree (M.E/M.Tech) with first division at both Graduate and Post Graduate levels.

DRDO CHESS Recruitment 2024 General Conditions for Research Associates (RA):

1. Candidates who have obtained the essential qualifications and awarded degrees on or before July 31, 2024, are eligible to apply.
2. Upper age limit: 35 years for RA as of the closing date of application. Age relaxation applies as per government orders.
3. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria should not apply.
4. Government/Public sector employees must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview, if called.
5. At the time of joining, candidates must produce all relevant testimonials (certificates, marks memoranda, etc.), caste/category certificates (in Government prescribed format, if applicable), Aadhaar card, and two recent passport-sized photographs. Failing to do so will result in the cancellation of selection.
6. A monthly stipend of ₹67,000 and residential accommodation will be provided. If accommodation is not available, HRA will be paid as per admissible rules.
7. The Research Associate position is awarded for a period of 2 years only.
8. Selection will be based on a scrutiny of research work experience or Ph.D. thesis, followed by an interview.
9. No TA/DA will be provided.
10. The Research Associate position does not guarantee any right for absorption into DRDO.
