The bank is inviting online applications for the engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This apprenticeship program is crafted to provide candidates with quality training and experiential learning, including both basic and on-the-job training.

2. Eligibility Criteria
- Post: Apprentice (This is not employment in the bank)
- Qualification:
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution approved by the Government of India.
- Proficiency in the local language (reading, writing, and speaking) of the respective State/UT is required. Proof (10th/12th standard mark sheet/certificate) must be provided.
- Age: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 28 years
- Duration of Training: One year
- Stipend: ₹9,000 per month
- Training Hours: 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM
Other Terms & Conditions:
- Candidates should not have undergone or terminated an apprenticeship in any other organization.
- Experience of one or more years after educational qualifications makes candidates ineligible.
- There is no obligation for the bank to offer employment post-training.
- Transport/hostel facilities are not provided.
- Candidature is provisional and subject to verification of documents.

4. Application Process
- Registration Completion: The process is complete only when any applicable fee is deposited online by the deadline (24.10.2024).
- Candidates should regularly check the bank’s website for updates. No separate notifications will be issued for changes.
Important Notes:
- Candidates must ensure they meet eligibility criteria as of 30.06.2024.
- Reservation for PwBD candidates is horizontal and within the overall vacancies.
- Candidates seeking age relaxation must provide necessary documentation.
5. Nationality / Citizenship Requirements
Candidates must fall under one of the following categories:
- Citizen of India
- Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugees (who came before January 1, 1962)
- Persons of Indian Origin (migrated from certain countries with the intention of settling in India)
Candidates from categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. While candidates can participate in the examination or interview, final selection is contingent upon presenting this eligibility certificate.
6. Selection Procedure
- Online Application Registration: Candidates must register online, providing their percentage in the 12th or Diploma examination.
- Merit List Preparation: The merit list will be state-wise, based on the descending order of marks. In case of ties, candidates will be ranked by age.
- Verification of Information: The merit list will be based on the information in the online application; discrepancies during document verification will lead to disqualification.
- Eligibility: Mere eligibility does not guarantee selection; the bank reserves the right to modify selection criteria.
- Rejection Clause: The bank can reject candidates at any stage if they are found ineligible or provide incorrect information. Fees paid by such candidates will not be refunded.
- Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must be declared medically fit.
- Waiting List: A waiting list will be maintained for one year for unfilled positions.
7. Apprenticeship Agreement and Certification
- A contract of apprenticeship must be signed before training starts, and the apprenticeship can be terminated under specific circumstances.
- Candidates are not guaranteed employment after training completion.
- Each apprentice will receive a certificate of proficiency upon passing a proficiency test conducted by the National Council.
8. How to Apply
Candidates should scan their photograph, signature, thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration before applying.
- Aadhaar Card Requirement: Candidates must possess an Aadhaar Card.
- Handwritten Declaration: Must be in English, in the candidate’s handwriting, and should not be in capital letters.
- Uploading Documents: Documents must be uploaded in PDF format (max size: 500 KB).
