Qualification & Experience:
- Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Industrial & Production
- Experience: 0–7 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor fabrication and production activities as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections of fabricated components.
- Check dimensions, fit-up, alignment, welding, cutting, assembly, and workmanship.
- Read and interpret engineering, fabrication, and shop-floor drawings.
- Monitor fabrication processes such as cutting, drilling, fit-up, welding, grinding, and assembly.
- Coordinate with Production, QC, Design, and other departments for smooth execution.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, production records, and quality documentation.
- Identify defects and non-conformities and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and work instructions.
- Monitor shop-floor activities to achieve production targets and required quality standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of fabrication and welding processes.
- Knowledge of steel fabrication, fit-up, welding, cutting, drilling, and assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication/engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Willingness to work in a production/fabrication shop-floor environment.
