Position Details
District Manager – Entrepreneurship and Employability
Location: Dantewada, Chhattisgarh
Duration: One year (extendable based on performance)
Nature of Engagement: Contractual
Reporting To: PPIA Fellow, Dantewada
Remuneration: ₹40,000 + ₹5,000 per month (consolidated)
Job Description
The District Project Livelihood College is seeking a dynamic District Manager to lead the implementation and management of youth hubs in Dantewada, aimed at promoting employability and entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will ensure effective planning, foster partnerships, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders, ultimately contributing to improved employability skills and entrepreneurial ventures for youth and women.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans with clear goals, strategies, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordination: Collaborate with cluster-level federations for outreach and mobilization activities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build partnerships with training institutions, educational institutions, government agencies, industries, and business associations.
- Convening: Form district-level multi-stakeholder coalitions and youth advisory groups.
- Ecosystem Mapping: Coordinate with specialized agencies to prepare documents identifying potential economic opportunities.
- Enterprise Facilitation: Engage with potential employers to create linkages for employment opportunities or entrepreneurial ventures.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Document project progress, prepare comprehensive reports, and undertake any other tasks assigned by the reporting officer.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Social Work, Entrepreneurship, Public Policy, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in skill development, employment generation, enterprise development, or livelihood projects.
- Proven experience in implementing social sector programs at the district level, including stakeholder management.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant reporting tools.
- Strong documentation skills.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with grassroots communities.
Work Ethic:
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
