Key Responsibilities:
- Administration: Oversee and manage various administrative functions of the LPAI Secretariat and ICPs.
- Operations: Ensure smooth operations of Land Ports and ICPs, including customs and immigration processing, logistics, and infrastructure management.
- Policy Implementation: Implement and monitor policies related to land port management and international trade facilitation.
- Coordination: Coordinate with government agencies, border security forces, and other stakeholders to streamline operations and address issues.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on operational performance, project progress, and strategic initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualifications: Varies depending on the specific post. Generally requires a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Administration, Engineering, Finance, Law, IT, or Management. Higher qualifications are preferred for senior positions.
- Experience: Relevant experience in the respective field is required. Typically, 5-15 years of experience in a similar role within Central/State Government, Union Territory Administration, Statutory Bodies, or Autonomous Bodies.
- Skills: Strong managerial, analytical, and communication skills. Proven ability to handle complex projects and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge: Understanding of land port operations, customs regulations, and international trade policies is advantageous.
Terms of Appointment:
- Duration: The appointment will be on a deputation (Foreign Service) basis with an initial term of 3-5 years, extendable based on performance and organizational needs.
- Remuneration: Salary and allowances as per the norms of LPAI and Government of India regulations.
- Location: The positions are based at the LPAI Secretariat in New Delhi and various ICPs across international land borders.
