IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bongaigaon Refinery, has released the IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery Apprentice Recruitment 2026 for Trade Apprentice and Technician Apprentice posts. A total of 58 apprentice vacancies are available for candidates with B.Sc. and Diploma qualifications in the relevant disciplines. Eligible candidates can apply through the NAPS/NATS portals. Salary:
Stipend will be paid as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973, Apprentices Rules and applicable IOCL guidelines.
Qualification & Experience:
Trade Apprentice: B.Sc. with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved seats, the minimum qualifying marks are 45%.
Technician Apprentice: 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering or Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved seats, the minimum qualifying marks are 45%.
Total Vacancies:
- Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) – 36 Posts
- Trade Apprentice (Boiler) – 14 Posts
- Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation) – 08 Posts
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
- The age will be calculated as on 30 September 2026.
- Age relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD candidates as per applicable Government of India guidelines.
Selection Process:
- There will be No Written Test.
- Selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification. Aggregate marks of all subjects of all years/semesters will be considered.
- Preference will be given to candidates applying for apprenticeship training for the first time.
- In case of a tie, the candidate senior in age will be placed higher in the merit list.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification followed by pre-engagement medical fitness examination. Only candidates declared medically fit will be considered for engagement.

How to Apply:
Eligible candidates must have a valid and active Apprentice Registration/Enrolment Number on the NAPS/NATS portal. Candidates applying for Trade Apprentice posts have to register and apply through the NAPS portal, while candidates applying for Technician Apprentice posts have to register and apply through the NATS portal.
After applying through the respective NAPS/NATS portal, candidates must also submit their additional details through the Microsoft Form available on the IOCL website. Completion of both steps is compulsory for consideration of candidature.
Candidates can apply for only one trade/discipline. The same email ID and mobile number used for NAPS/NATS registration should be used throughout the application process.
