Contractual Engagement Requirements and Eligibility Criteria

1. Contractual Assistant Fitter (14 positions)
   • Eligibility Criteria:
     • Class 10 from a Government Recognized Education Board.
     • Trade certificate in Fitter trade from a Government Recognized Institute.
     • Minimum 2 years post-qualification work experience in maintenance of centrifugal pump sets, reciprocating pump sets, rotary pump sets, iron removal filters, fabrication, operation and maintenance of water/gas pipelines, water supply setup, mechanical workshop setup, or installation/maintenance of crude oil storage tanks/RCC water storage tanks in Government/Semi-Government/PSU/Public Limited Organizations.
   • Age Limit: Minimum 18 years; Maximum 30 years for General, 33 years for OBC-NCL, and 35 years for SC/ST.
   • Monthly Emolument:
     • Fixed Emolument: ₹16,640 (Rupees Sixteen Thousand Six Hundred and Forty) based on attendance including paid leave and holidays.
     • Variable Emolument: ₹640 (Rupees Six Hundred and Forty) per working day.
2. Contractual Assistant Diesel Mechanic (10 positions)
   • Eligibility Criteria:
     • Class 10 from a Government Recognized Education Board.
     • Trade certificate in Diesel Mechanic from a Government Recognized Institute.
     • Minimum 2 years post-qualification work experience in maintenance of diesel or gas engines, reciprocating or centrifugal pump sets, reciprocating or rotary air compressors in Government/Semi-Government/PSU/Public Limited Organizations.
   • Age Limit: Minimum 18 years; Maximum 30 years for General, 33 years for OBC-NCL, and 35 years for SC/ST.
   • Monthly Emolument:
     • Fixed Emolument: ₹16,640 (Rupees Sixteen Thousand Six Hundred and Forty) based on attendance including paid leave and holidays.
     • Variable Emolument: ₹640 (Rupees Six Hundred and Forty) per working day.

Note:

• Reservation and age relaxation will be as per Government of India guidelines.
• Only the Admit Card or Pass Certificate or Marksheet of Class 10 from a recognized board will be accepted as valid proof of date of birth.

Job Profile and Responsibilities

• Contractual Assistant Fitter:
  • Preventive and breakdown maintenance of rotary and reciprocating pumps at different installations and workshops.
  • Operation and maintenance of water supply pipelines, valve fitting, and crude oil and water storage tanks.
  • Heavy and light fitting of machine equipment parts used at various installations and drilling sites.
  • Shifts may be assigned across various installations, drilling sites, and workshops.
• Contractual Assistant Diesel Mechanic:
  • Preventive and breakdown maintenance of diesel/gas engines, including fuel system maintenance.
  • Overhauling of ICE engines.
  • Preventive and breakdown maintenance of air compressors.
  • Shifts may be assigned across various installations, drilling sites, and workshops.

Contractual Engagement Period

The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis for an initial period of 6 months. The period may be extended for up to three additional 6-month tenures based on departmental requirements, job performance, conduct, and physical fitness. The maximum total period of engagement is 24 months.

Selection Procedure

• Walk-in Practical/Skill Test and Personal Assessment:
  • Contractual Assistant Fitter: August 20, 2024, from 07:00 AM to 09:00 AM at Employee Welfare Office, Nehru Maidan, Oil India Limited, Duliajan, Assam.
  • Contractual Assistant Diesel Mechanic: August 22, 2024, from 07:00 AM to 09:00 AM.
  If the number of candidates exceeds the venue capacity, the Walk-in Test and Assessment will be carried forward to subsequent days as needed.
• Registration:
  • Candidates must register themselves between 07:00 AM and 09:00 AM on the specified date.
  • Bring the following documents:
    • One recent 3cm x 3cm color photograph.
    • Original and self-attested photocopies of:
      • Valid Identity Proof and Address Proof.
      • Admit Card, Marksheet, and Pass Certificate of Class 10.
      • Essential qualification and experience certificates.
      • Relevant caste, income, disability, and other certificates if applicable.
      • No-Objection Certificate from the current employer, if employed.
• Selection Criteria:
  • Candidates must meet the eligibility conditions and provide all required documents.
  • Minimum pass marks in the Walk-in Practical/Skill Test is 50%. Selection will be based on merit.
