Note: Candidates from the Scheduled Area can apply for both Scheduled Area and Non-Scheduled Area vacancies, but Scheduled Area posts are exclusively reserved for residents of those areas. Candidates applying for Scheduled Area posts must provide a residency certificate when requested.

RPSC AFDO Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Master’s Degree in Fisheries Science (M.F.Sc.) or M.Sc. Zoology with Fisheries as a special paper, OR
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) with a one-year diploma in Professional Development Programme from Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai.
  2. Computer Proficiency:
    • “O” or Higher Level Certificate course conducted by DOEACC, OR
    • Certificate Course on Computer Concept by NIELIT, New Delhi, OR
    • Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)/Data Preparation and Computer Software (DPCS) Certificate, OR
    • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Computer Science/Computer Application, OR
    • Senior Secondary Certificate with Computer Science/Computer Application as one of the subjects, OR
    • Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering, OR
    • Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Information Technology (RSCIT) conducted by Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota.
  3. Language and Cultural Knowledge:
    • Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.

Provisions Related to Salary:

  • Pay Matrix Level: L-11 (Grade Pay – ₹4200/-)
  • Note: During the probation period, a fixed monthly salary will be payable as per State Government rules.

RPSC AFDO Age Limit:

  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Maximum age: Less than 40 years as of 01.01.2025.
  • Note: Additional relaxation of three years in the maximum age limit is available for candidates who were eligible as of 01.01.2020.

Examination Process:

  • Selection Method: Candidates will be selected based on a written examination.
  • Evaluation: Scaling/graduation/normalization methods may be used to evaluate the answer sheets.
  • Merit List: Candidates deemed suitable will be recommended to the State Government/Appointing Authority in the order of merit.
  • Examination Details: The date and place of the examination will be announced later. The detailed syllabus will be released on the Commission’s website.

RPSC AFDO Application Process

  • Application Period: From 11th September 2024 to 10th October 2024 (till 12:00 midnight).
  • How to Apply:
    1. Visit the Commission’s website: https://rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.
    2. Study the instructions, detailed advertisement, and service rules before applying.
    3. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) through the SSO portal https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
    4. Upload the necessary documents, including a live photo, signature, and left thumb impression.
    5. Review the details carefully before submitting the online application.

Examination Scheme:

  • Subjects:
    • Part-A: General Knowledge of Rajasthan (40 questions, 40 marks).
    • Part-B: Subject-specific (110 questions, 110 marks).
  • Total: 150 questions, 150 marks.
  • Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Negative Marking: One-third of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Special Instructions:

  • Scribe and Compensatory Time: Candidates with disabilities can request a scribe and/or compensatory time by submitting the required documents before the exam date.
  • Amendments in Application: Candidates can amend errors in their application within 10 days after the last date of application by paying a fee of ₹500. However, changes to the candidate’s name, father’s name, date of birth, and gender are not allowed.

Important Notes:

  • General Category Fee: Applicants from outside Rajasthan or those belonging to the creamy layer of the Backward Classes will be considered under the General category and should pay the corresponding fee.
  • Admit Card: Ensure the details in the Aadhaar card match the application form for smooth verification during the examination.

Examination Guidelines: Candidates must follow the instructions on the question paper/OMR sheet strictly. Any deviation may lead to rejection of their answer sheets, for which they will be solely responsible.

Errors in Question Paper/Answer Key: If there are any discrepancies or errors in the question paper or answer key, the commission reserves the right to finalize the result based on a panel’s recommendations, and this decision will be final and binding.

Adherence to Instructions: Candidates must follow instructions provided by exam authorities, and any misconduct or use of unfair means will lead to disciplinary actions as per the Rajasthan Public Examination Act, 2022.

Debarment from Future Examinations: Candidates previously debarred by any commission for misconduct will not be allowed to participate in future exams.

Reservation Benefits: Age relaxation and reservation benefits are only available to employees of the Rajasthan state government. Employees from other states or central government will be treated as general category candidates.

Document Verification: Candidates must ensure that all certificates (caste, income, etc.) are correct and valid as of the last application date. Misrepresentation or failure to submit the required documents may lead to the cancellation of the candidate’s appointment.

Caste and Category Certificates: Specific guidelines are provided for the submission of caste and category certificates, including the requirement for certificates to be issued by competent authorities and in the correct format.

Eligibility of Ex-Servicemen: Provisions regarding ex-servicemen eligibility include rules about applying for posts, submission of proof of retirement, and the impact of previous government employment on their status as ex-servicemen.

Marriage and Number of Children: Candidates with more than two children born after June 1, 2002, will be ineligible for government service, with certain exceptions detailed in the guidelines.

Character and Police Verification: Candidates must submit a character certificate from their last educational institution and a police verification certificate showing no criminal record.

Medical Fitness: After selection, candidates must submit a medical certificate proving their fitness for state service.

No Objection Certificate: Candidates already employed in government service must provide a no-objection certificate from their employer if selected.

Commission’s Decision: The final decision regarding a candidate’s eligibility rests with the commission, in accordance with the relevant service rules.

Application Form Accuracy: Candidates are advised to carefully fill out the online application form, as incorrect or incomplete forms will be rejected without any recourse.
