SSC CHSL 2024 Corrigendum: Special Guidelines for Typing Test Exemption

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an important update for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination 2024. This update concerns the exemption from the typing test for Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates who meet specific criteria.

SSC CHSL 2024 Eligibility for Typing Test Exemption:

  • Who is Eligible?
    • PwD candidates who are physically unable to type may be eligible for an exemption from the typing test. This exemption applies only to those whose physical disability permanently prevents them from typing.
    • It is important to note that this exemption is specifically for candidates with physical disabilities. Candidates who are visually impaired or hearing impaired are not covered under this exemption.
  • Required Documentation:
    • Candidates must obtain a certificate from the Civil Surgeon of a Government Health Care Institution certifying that they are physically unable to type.
    • This certificate must be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure-XIV).
    • Additionally, candidates must also furnish relevant medical certificates as per Annexures XI to XIII of the Examination Notice.

SSC CHSL 2024 Submit Documents on Time:

Candidates who wish to claim this exemption must submit all the required documents at the time of the typing test. Failure to provide the necessary documentation will result in the exemption claim being denied by the Commission.

This update provides significant relief for eligible PwD candidates, but it is crucial to ensure that all required documents are submitted in the correct format and on time to benefit from this exemption.
