The Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2024 online applications from Indian citizens who meet the essential qualifications and other eligibility conditions as of 01.08.2024 for the creation of a panel to fill 80 vacancies for the post of Junior Court Attendant (Cooking Knowledge) in Level 3 of the Pay Matrix, with a Basic Pay of Rs. 21,700/- plus usual allowances as admissible under the rules. The approximate gross salary, including HRA, is Rs. 46,210/- per month.

Supreme Court Junior Court Attendant Recruitment 2024: Important Information

Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2024 Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification:
    (a) 10th Standard (Xth) from any Board/Institute recognized by the Government.
    (b) Minimum one-year full-time diploma in cooking/culinary arts from a recognized institute.Note: Ex-servicemen candidates who do not possess a one-year full-time diploma in cooking/culinary arts from a recognized institute are also eligible to apply based on a trade/competency certificate in the cooking/catering field issued by a Competent Authority.
  • Experience:
    Three years of cooking experience in a prestigious hotel/restaurant/government department/undertaking, etc.

Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2024 Age Requirement:

  • Candidates should be between 18 and 27 years of age as of 01.08.2024. Usual relaxation in age will be admissible to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged/Ex-Servicemen/Widows/Divorced Women/Judicially Separated Women (who have not remarried), and dependents of Freedom Fighters as per government rules.
  • There is no age limit for employees of the Supreme Court who have completed 3 years of regular service in the Registry. No age relaxation will be provided to candidates working in other government departments.

Reservation:

Reservation for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Physically Challenged, and Ex-Servicemen will be in accordance with the rules, orders, and notifications issued by the Government of India from time to time for posts carrying the pay scale corresponding to the Junior Court Attendant (Cooking Knowledge) post, subject to modifications as specified by the Chief Justice. Reservation for dependents of Freedom Fighters will be as per the orders issued by the Chief Justice of India.

Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2024 Method of Selection:

The selection process includes a Written Test (objective type) in English and Hindi, a Practical Trade Skill Test, and an Interview. The details are as follows:

  1. Written Test:
    • General Knowledge (Objective Type) – 30 Marks
    • Cooking/Culinary Arts (Objective Type) – 70 Marks
    • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 60% in each component
    • Duration: 1.5 hours (90 minutes)
    • No negative marking
  2. Practical Trade Skill Test:
    • Cooking, including hygiene, etc. – 70 Marks
  3. Interview:
    • 30 Marks

The total marks will be 200, with a minimum qualifying mark of 60%.

Test Centers:

  • The Written Test will be conducted at 17 test centers in 16 states: Ahmedabad, Ambala, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, and Visakhapatnam.
  • Candidates must indicate their choice of three test centers. If sufficient candidates are not registered at a particular center, they will be accommodated at the next preferred test center.

Final selection will be based on marks secured in the written test, practical trade skill test, and interview. Placement in the panel does not guarantee appointment.

  • Registration and Fee Payment:
    Eligible candidates are required to apply online through the Supreme Court’s official website (www.sci.gov.in) starting from 23.08.2024.
    • Application Fee: Rs. 400/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/Physically Challenged/Ex-Servicemen/Dependents of Freedom Fighters/Widows/Divorced Women/Judicially Separated Women who have not remarried).
    • Last Date: The last date for receipt of applications is 12.09.2024 at 24.00 hrs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve high-quality food/meals/snacks (both veg and non-veg) for breakfast/tiffin/high tea and other occasions.
  2. Arrange, garnish, and plate dishes to a high standard.
  3. Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen and attend to general maintenance.
  4. Collect and clean all cooking utensils/crockery/cutlery before and after use.
  5. Ensure proper storage and hygiene of food and other items.
  6. Keep a stock inventory record.
  7. Prevent wastage and spoilage of food.
  8. Clean and maintain the dining area, including dusting the dining table and chairs.
  9. Observe personal hygiene, maintain good physical health, and use clean clothing.
  10. Take safety precautions to prevent fire and injuries while performing duties.
  11. Work at odd hours and on Sundays/Holidays as required for cuisine preparation.
  12. Perform other duties (including general duties) as may be assigned.

General Instructions:

  1. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility conditions before applying.
  2. Scanned copies of photographs and signatures must be uploaded.
  3. Application forms must be filled with correct information before submission.
  4. Retain the application number for generating the admit card.
  5. Candidates must regularly check the Supreme Court’s website for updates.
