UCSL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL), Malpe, Karnataka has released UCSL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 for 12 Apprentice vacancies under ITI Trade Apprentice and Graduate/Technician (Diploma) Apprentice categories. Candidates with ITI, Diploma can apply for the one-year apprenticeship training. Interested and eligible candidates can apply from 15 September 2026 to 14 October 2026. Positions: Trade, Graduate/Technician (Diploma) Apprentice
Job Location: Malpe, Karnataka.
Stipend:
- ITI Trade Apprentice – Rs. 12,600 per month + Meals Allowance
- Graduate/Technician (Diploma) Apprentice – Rs. 13,200 per month + Meals Allowance.
Qualification:
- Electrician: Pass in 10th Standard and ITI in Electrician Trade with National Trade Certificate (NTC).
- Plumber: Pass in 10th Standard and ITI in Plumber Trade with National Trade Certificate (NTC).
- Mechanical Engineering: Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized State Council/Board of Technical Education, University or recognized institution.
- Electrical Engineering: Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Electrical Engineering from a recognized State Council/Board of Technical Education, University or recognized institution.
Total Vacancies: 12 Posts
- Electrician – 5 Posts
- Plumber – 4 Posts
- Mechanical Engineering – 1 Post
- Electrical Engineering – 2 Posts
Age Limit: Candidates applying for ITI Trade Apprentice posts must be at least 18 years of age as on 14 October 2026. Diploma Apprentice candidates should be above 18 years as on 14 October 2026.
Training Duration: 1 Year. ITI Trade Apprentices will undergo training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, while Graduate/Technician (Diploma) Apprentices will undergo training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973.
Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted based on marks obtained in the prescribed qualification. Shortlisted candidates will be called for certificate verification. Candidates who successfully complete certificate verification will be considered for selection against the available seats based on merit, reservation and medical fitness.
