United India Insurance Company (UIIC), a leading public sector general insurance company owned by the Government of India, has announced the recruitment of Administrative Officers (AO) – Scale I for the year 2024. The recruitment is for both Specialist and Generalist positions across various disciplines. Below are the complete details:

Note: Vacancies are mostly concentrated in the Western and Southern zones of India. Selected candidates will be posted in these zones for a minimum of 5 years.


2. UIIC AO Eligibility Criteria (As of 30.09.2024):

a. Nationality:

  • Indian citizens or subjects of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees, or certain persons of Indian origin as per Government of India guidelines.

b. Educational Qualifications (Discipline-wise):

c. Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years (as on 30.09.2024, i.e., born between 01.10.1994 and 30.09.2003)

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years
  • Others: As per government rules

3. UIIC AO Application Process:

  • Candidates can apply for either Specialist or Generalist positions (not both).
  • Multiple registrations will lead to disqualification.

4. What is the exam pattern of UIIC AO?

  • Working knowledge of computers is essential.
  • Selection is based on Written Examination and Interview.
  • Selected candidates will be posted in Southern and Western India, and no transfer requests will be entertained for 5 years.

5. Examination Process:

a. Descriptive Test:

  • Qualifying in nature, but marks will not be counted towards the final selection or shortlisting for the interview.

b. Objective Test:

  • Objective-type questions with multiple choices.
  • Penalty: One-fourth of the marks will be deducted for wrong answers.
  • No penalty for unanswered questions.

c. Scoring:

  • Scores will be normalized to account for the varying difficulty levels across test sessions.
  • Final scores will be reported with up to two decimal points.

d. Cut-Offs:

  • There will be section-wise and overall cut-offs for each category.

e. What is the selection process of UIIC AO?

  • Candidates with visual or physical impairments may use a scribe.
  • The scribe’s qualification must be lower than the candidate’s.
  • Compensatory time will be granted to eligible candidates.

f. Examination Centers:

  • Candidates need to choose exam centers from a predefined list. The company reserves the right to change the center based on administrative feasibility.

g. Call Letters:

  • Downloadable from the company’s website. Candidates must bring a photo ID and the call letter to the exam center.

6. UIIC AO Application Timeline:

  • Start Date: 15/10/2024
  • Last Date: 05/11/2024
    Note: No other mode of application is allowed.

7. Application Registration and Fees:

a. Registration Process:

  1. Visit the Recruitment Section of the UIIC website and click “APPLY ONLINE”.
  2. Complete the New Registration with Name, Contact, and Email.
  3. Save the Provisional Registration Number and Password for future reference.
  4. Upload your Photo and Signature following the given specifications.
  5. Review the form carefully before the final submission.

b. Payment of Fees:

  • Payment can be made through Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, or Mobile Wallets.

c. Document Upload Guidelines:

  • Photograph: Recent passport-size photo (200 x 230 pixels, 20 KB – 50 KB).
  • Signature: Black ink on white paper (240 x 240 pixels, 20 KB – 50 KB).
  • Left Thumb Impression: Black or blue ink (20 KB – 50 KB).
  • Handwritten Declaration: JPG/JPEG format (50 KB – 100 KB).

8. Important Points to Note:

  • Candidates must provide a valid Email and Mobile Number that remains active throughout the recruitment process.
  • Ensure proper scanning and uploading of documents as per specifications to avoid rejection.
  • Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will not be accepted.
