Job Opening: Legal Officer
Digital India Corporation is inviting applications for the position of Legal Officer purely on a contract/consolidated basis for the Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC).
Position Details
- Job Title: Legal Officer
- Number of Vacancies: 01
- Place of Posting: New Delhi (transferable to project locations as per existing policy)
- Contract Tenure: 1 year (extendable)
- Remuneration: ₹12 – ₹15 lakhs per annum (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in policy, litigation, adjudication, etc.
- Educational Qualification: Degree in Law from a recognized Law University.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with Techno-Legal aspects, including the IT Act, 2000 and IT Rules, 2021.
- Expertise in legal/techno-legal research, including analysis and interpretation of international laws, regulations, and policies related to cyberspace.
- Proficiency in legislative drafting of Bills, rules, and guidelines related to the IT Act and other cyber laws.
- Experience in handling public grievances related to cyber laws.
- Ability to provide legal opinions and advice on cyber law aspects.
- Understanding of social media platforms and their grievance redressal mechanisms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
