ONGC Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has invited online applications for 3,047 Apprentice vacancies across 24 work centres in India under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The vacancies include ITI, Diploma and Graduate Apprentice positions in various trades and disciplines. Eligible candidates can apply online from 29 October to 20 November 2026 through the NAPS/NATS portals.

Job Location: Dehradun, Delhi, Jodhpur, Goa, Hazira, Mumbai, Nhava, Panvel, Uran, Ahmedabad, Ankleshwar, Cambay, Mehsana, Vadodara, Jorhat, Nazira & Sivasagar, Silchar, Chennai, Kakinada, Karaikal, Rajahmundry, Agartala, Bokaro and Kolkata.

Stipend:

  • Graduate Apprentice: ₹12,300 per month
  • Diploma Apprentice (3-year Diploma): ₹10,900 per month
  • Trade Apprentice (10th/12th qualification): ₹8,200 per month
  • Trade Apprentice (1-year ITI): ₹9,600 per month
  • Trade Apprentice (2-year ITI): ₹10,560 per month

Qualification & Experience:

  1. Trade Apprentice: 10th/12th Pass or ITI in the relevant trade, as prescribed for the position.
  2. Diploma Apprentice: Three-year Diploma in the respective Engineering discipline.
  3. Graduate Apprentice: Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline, including B.Com, BBA, BA, B.Sc. or Engineering Degree, as prescribed for the position.

Trade-wise Qualification Details:

  • Library Assistant: 10th Pass.
  • Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA): ITI COPA.
  • Draughtsman (Civil): ITI Draughtsman (Civil).
  • Electrician: ITI Electrician.
  • Electronics Mechanic: ITI Electronics Mechanic.
  • Fitter: ITI Fitter.
  • Instrument Mechanic: ITI Instrument Mechanic.
  • Fire Safety Technician (Oil & Gas): ITI in relevant trade or 12th Pass / two-year ITI after 10th, as specified.
  • Machinist: ITI Machinist.
  • Mechanic Repair & Maintenance of Vehicles: ITI Mechanic Motor Vehicle.
  • Mechanic Diesel: ITI Diesel Mechanic.
  • Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology): ITI Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology).
  • Mechanic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning: ITI in the relevant trade.
  • Stenographer (English): ITI Stenography (English).

Age relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 Years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
  • PwBD: Up to 10 years; up to 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC (NCL).

Selection Process:

  • Applications will be scrutinised according to the eligibility criteria.
  • Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.
  • Final selection will be based on merit, reservation and successful document verification.
  • Selected candidates must fulfil the prescribed medical fitness requirements.

  3. Select the eligible trade/discipline and work centre according to the prescribed qualification and domicile conditions.
  4. Complete the application process through the respective apprenticeship portal.
  5. Submit the online application before 20 November 2026.
  6. Applications through post, by hand or any other offline mode will not be accepted.
